Eddies Diner on Route 1 Go back to the late 1960's and your traveling down route 1 in Walpole, Mass. It's time for breakfast and of course, you pull into Eddie's Diner. In the parking lot are cars from famous places along route 1 such as the Red Wing Restaurant, Art Johnson's, and Norwood Arena. Later on, if you show up here after midnight be prepared to stand in a long line as I did many times.

Del's Lemonade When
you think of a icon in Rhode Island the obvious answer is Del's
Lemonade. In 1948, Del's Frozen Lemonade acquired
it's name and became the sole product sold at this little stand
in Cranston, Rhode Island as depicted in this watercolor. Now,
there are many Del's franchises worldwide providing the
refreshing, all natural lemonade treat to everyone, anywhere,
anytime!

something to eat. Hint: If your from the Walpole MA area in the late 60's then you must remember Eddies Diner. |

Going
for Ice Cream Yep, that's the famous Bubbling Brook in Westwood, MA. The good news is this great place is still there serving freezes, ice cream, and fried clams! Remember the cars racing up the hill or the frog rock nearby??? How many of us while in college drove our VW to the brook??
